  • If I already own your software, do I get this for free?
  • The Business-on-a-Stick is a hardware/software solution for portable computing. The desktop version of our programs are "married" to a single computer, so this item is sold separately. This portable version can be used and actuated on any PC running XP, Vista (32 or 64-bit), or Windows 7.

  • OK, can I have just this and not the PC installed versions?
  • Yes, of course, and you will save money. The Business-on-a-Stick hardware is offered at only $79.00 USD and any software title of your choosing is sold at a mere $19.97 per program. That's a substantial savings over the PC installed versions.

  • Do you offer "bundles" for the portable editions?
  • Yes, we offer a money-saving 18-title value bundle. It contains all 18 programs we currently offer for Business-on-a-Stick. The installer files are delivered to you in one, large ZIP file [250 megs]. Save money: it works out to about $16.50 per title.

  • How fast can I get the software once I have the drive?
  • Instantly. We have completely automated the software delivery system. Once you have successfully completed the transaction, you will be taken to a digital download and personal account page setup just for you. You can purchase software and take delivery 24/7 even if it's three in the morning.

  • Are there any differences between these portable versions and the PC installed editions?
  • The only major difference is PDF creation and Live Update. The portable editions cannot create and store a PDF file. This is due to disk space limitations. There is no Live Update function, as the programs on the drives are special editions with their own update site.

  • What is the cost of software updates?
  • There is no cost, ever. Once you buy a title, it's yours for life. In our exclusive Member's Lounge, you may check for and download updates, anytime, day or night. The lounge is always open.

  • Does the Business-on-a-Stick carry any warranty?
  • Sure does. We warrant that you Business-on-a-Stick USB drive will be free of physical defects and will perform as expected for a period of one year from date of purchase. During the warranty period, should a problem arise not from physical damage or abuse, we will replace the drive and it's contents free of charge. You just pay inbound shipping. Be aware, however, that the typical data life of a USB flash drive is in excess of ten years. That's better than any PC.

  • I already own a USB Flash drive. It's not yours but it is high capacity and fast. Can I install these programs on my own drive and save the cost of buying your flash drive.
  • No, our special USB drive contains the integral LaunchPad software to manage your portable editions. Further, it is "hard-wired" registered to you in case of lost or theft.

  • I don't get it, I already bought this software for my PC. I have to buy it again??
  • The Business-on-a-Stick is an independent platform and the portable editions of the software are developed specifically for compatibility and use on the flash drive. Just like a PC installed version, you wouldn't expect to get an Apple Mac version of the same title for free would you? To maintain these versions for years to come is an expensive proposition, not to mention this automated website and its e-commerce infrastructure. At only $19.97 per title, a fraction of the desktop version, we feel it is a more than fair price for the flexibility you can enjoy with our product.

  • Does the Business-on-a-Stick work on Vista & Win 7 64-bit?
  • Yes. Tested. Make sure that when downloading the software installers for the stick that you choose "SAVE" and not "RUN" nor "OPEN". Save the file to you computer, then after the download it complete, you may dbl-click the installer you just downloaded. It will work as expected.

  • Do I have to maintain an Internet connectiion to use the stick?
  • No. You only need an internet connection to download or update the individual software installers. Once installed, you are free to move to any computer, internet or not. It does not "phone home".

  • How do I update the software for the stick I purchased?
  • We maintain a member's area. Once logged into the members area, choose "Downloads & Updates". Once there, click on the "key" and you will be taken to your past purchases page. That page always contains the latest versions.
